Jetson AGX Xavier as a desktop machine

Image
The AGX Xavier 32gb works well as a desktop/development machine. I have it hooked up to a 27" AOC 4k 60hz montior via HDMI. It handles RDP and VNC flawlessly. Thermals are ok. Recently failed to get a 5ghz Intel M.2 wifi card to work. It raised the thermals by around ~5c and L4T kernel required to many work-arounds. I'll just stick to PoE with a 100mbps connection for now.

BTC motherboards and folding at home

Moved the Tesla K20x cards out of the server and into a wind tunnel. This is surprisingly more efficient than having four HP power supplies running. Next step, mineral oil bath and heat exchanger for the Tesla's.

Folding@home is currently running. Very stock setup, will try to write an API call to only turn on when the solar panels are above 1kw.

Exploration and Discovery - 48v power supplies for solar energy

Image
HP-BL20P-Enclosure-Hot-Plug-Power-Supply-3000W-253232-001-226519-001 Recently I picked up this 48v HP hot plug server power supply. There was no good documentation from HPE so here are my findings. HP Part # 2226519-001 Spare Part # 253232-001 Input 200-240V single phase AC 20 amp 50/60 hz Output 2950W max 51.4VDC 57A max with 25w 5v output Double pole/neutral fusing AIMS Power  The end goal is the use this for a grid-tied smart solar charger.
